Besides the festivals & events mentioned above there are numerous sites to visit and activities to do in the county. For example, the city has many beautiful walking trails and tours to enjoy including Tynans Walking Tour or the St. Francis Abbey Brewery Tour. For those guests travelling with children why not visit Castlecomer Discovery Park or the Reptile Village & Conservation Zoo in Gowran.
Kilkenny is the ideal location for a city break being just 1 hour from Dublin via the new M9 motorway and approx. 2 hour’s drive from both Cork and Limerick.
