Five minutes walk from our doorstep, explore the story of Ireland's oldest ale and journey through over 300 years of history. Learn how Smithwicks went from a small local brewery to a national favourite and now a world renowned Ale. The interactive tour is available in multiple languages and visitors will learn how the monks originally brewed the famous Ale in the 13th Century. The tour brings visitors through the struggles John Smithwick faced when he first entered the brewing business and how he was forced to use his wit to keep his business affairs private. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a tasting paddle of all 3 of Smithwicks most popular variations.
Tours operate throughout the year with the opening times for the summer months between 10am & 6pm 7 days a week.
Visitors who book online can save 10% on their visit when they book directly on the Smithwicks Experience website.
