Ember is delighted to introduce Head Chef Jonathan Webster. A passionate and highly experienced culinary professional, Jonathan brings over 15 years of expertise across some of Waterford and the South East’s best-known restaurants.

With an impressive track record at venues like Alvito Restaurant, Azzurro Bar & Restaurant, and Bellissimo, Johnny is a chef who understands how to balance precision and creativity. From leading busy kitchen teams to designing fresh, memorable menus, his approach is rooted in a deep respect for quality ingredients and meticulous attention to detail.

“I’m passionate about creating dishes that celebrate the best of Irish ingredients and seasonality. To me, a plate of food is an opportunity to connect with people – to create a moment of joy and comfort.” Johnny is also a committed team player and motivator. As he puts it: “A great kitchen is built on trust, respect, and a love for cooking together. I’m excited to work with the team to build memorable dining experiences for every guest. I look forward to continuing to improve what we offer at Ember, things are just getting started.”

A fitness enthusiast and a proud supporter of local football and charitable organisations, Jonathan brings the same focus and discipline to the kitchen as he does to life.
